Fishing boats sitting in port are a common sight in the southern New England waterways. But thanks to pollution from the Boston-area outfall pipe, frequent oil spills, and overfishing, there isn't much to catch anymore. The boat tours the once-prosperous fishing community, while children chatter throughout.
When I first saw her video come up I thought, "Disaster" (inside joke - you'll have to watch the video). But no disaster here. This girl has got talent and looks.
Sure she's cute, by "looks" I'm talking about her acting and how she change her looks so easily. Her different looks really help pull off her intelligent acting style and her very creative dry humor. Her varied facial expressions and her impressions (of her parents in this video) with her many characters in her other videos make them more entertaining than most sketch comedy on TV today.
Her speaking voice, the editing and the overall sound and video quality is top notch. We'll be watching for more from this talented one-woman show.
Put this director and actress on your subscription list. From what I am seeing, she just gets funnier.
After watching this video, I would absolutely adore seeing her in a little more of the "Soap Opera" motif. Please enjoy yourself watching this video. Also notice the seamless editing that separates these comedy shows from many of the others out there. Print it! Take five!
I LOVE this girl! You have to watch this video and you will definitely laugh out loud. I am going to go back and watch again after I write this review.
Happyslip is an on-the-spot editor, director and actor. When you see this video, it'll be "Love at First Sight". Yes, that is corny, but I'm in good company. No, I don't know her. All I know is that when she takes these commercials/videos to the next level, they will be a hit.
In this clip, Happyslip explains her reason for making these funny clips for YouTube. Her use of props and comedy click. We are GLAD that she is creating more all the time. You'll see...
Tag along in the backseat for this car ride up Mount Fuji. The white snow-capped peak is always in the background as the car spins slowly around the impressive landmark.
Most people seem to think that Hollywood is as glamorous as the movies themselves. And like the movies, Hollywood’s glamour is only a façade. Lisa’s video at the Hollywood and Highland complex, which houses both the Chinese theater and the Kodak (where they hold the Oscars), shows us that Hollywood is not the place where dreams come true, but where they are incubated. The people here are not in a summer blockbuster for millions of dollars, they dress up in cheap costumes for $7/hour just to entertain and be a part of that dream.
Since LisaNova is one of the video bloggers we’re watching, we thought we’d catch you all up and hopefully get you as addicted as we are. This is her first YouTube video and in case you couldn’t guess from the title, it’s her introduction. Although she introduces herself as a poor innocent country girl from France, followers of her videos are sure to know she’s far from it.
If you’ve ever been to Vegas, you know that the cops there do not mess around. Of course, COPS is frequently filmed there because they deal with some ridiculous crimes and there’s something about the Strip that makes it the perfect background for a chase scene. This video chronicles a college student’s quick descent from being a tough guy to being a sack of potatoes on a McDonald’s parking lot.
I find this one interesting because as Bush is caught off guard we (1) witness him get ticked-off by the reporter's question and go into a defensive, nonsensical and confused diatribe to justify his being dishonest. ("I didn't know I was going to replace him because I didn't visit with his replacement.") I'm frankly surprised that that rediculously unbelievable statement didn't get a huge laugh from everyone in the room.
But before he goes off, he contradicts himself ("No, I didn't know that.") and (2) he makes a Freudian slip and says "The other thing I did know as well is ..."
I don't understand why he can't just be honest and say why he did what he did, instead of being so defensive. Odd. Several big-name news anchors took the unprecedented step of calling Bush on his lie, and using the word "lie" when referring to his latest contradictions. Another good video from thesilentpatriot.
This short film has some great music and dancing. It tells the story of a thief that steals a woman's box. The big question here is what is in that box? Funny video. Definitely worth checking out.
Here is another well done fan made music video. This time using clips from The CW series, Supernatural, to the music of Simple Plan. Great video. Check it out.
One more clip for you from late night television. In this clip from The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson he discusses the difficulties of being an impersonator. Check it out!
In this fan made music video, Weird Al Yankovic's song 'Your Horoscope For Today' is played over clips of Doctor Who. The song is hilarious, and they work well with the clips. Check it out.
Here we have another of G4TV's parodies of Star Wars. This one takes a scene from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Watch as Obi-wan tells Luke about his father. Great clip.
Here is another in the will it blend series of videos. This time it is credit cards. I think everyone that is in debt has just dreamed of the day where they could do this with their own set of credit cards. Do they blend? Watch to find out!
Here is another funny from late night television. In this clip from The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Craig interviews President Bush. Well, an impersonator of him anyway. Funny stuff. Check it out!
In this clip we watch as a man performs some nice carnival type tricks for the camera, including a card trick and some fire tricks. Don't try these at home kids! Check it out!
Here is another look at the Transformers movie. The buzz for this one will only continue to build until its July 2007 release date. I was a fan of the cartoons back in the 80s, so I can't wait to see a live action version. From the look at this clip and short teaser we have some good stuff to look forward to. Check it out!
Well, Lost fans last night was the last episode of Lost this year. The series will not make its return until February 7, 2007. Three long months of waiting. Last night's episode was the best of the season so far, and I can't wait to see what happens next. They left us with quite the cliffhanger didn't they? Here is a look at the sneak peek they gave us for what's ahead. Can't it be February already?
