Lazydork claims that this is just the product of experimenting with his editing software (see previous video) and that he debated even putting it up. Like most of Lazydork’s videos it’s a love it/hate it video. It’s definitely alien and mostly I just like the sound of the guitar under these conditions. So I guess if you’re into experimental guitar music (and a Jimmy Buffett fan) this may be the sound you’ve been waiting for.
When Lazydork’s comments got “stolen” he made this video and even though it’s a little too serious (I mean come on the comments were about him pouring milk over his body in slow motion), this is still a pretty creative video. The editing is done pretty well while everything disappears as Lazydork bitches out whoever stole his comments. Apparently the comments disappeared as a result of a glitch and I love Lazydork’s response to someone telling him this: “Well, everyone who got comments jacked made a video. I’m not about to be the only D-List youtube celebrity to not respond. Besides, I think it’s hilarious how everyone’s FIGHTING BACK by making videos. It’s so effective!!”
If you enjoyed playing with fake food as a child like I did, you’ll find TheReceptionist’s “Spaghetti Town!” the most perfect 7-minute film ever. Even if you might feel like you want to tell the Spaghetti Queen and her two-dimensional meatball barrette that Matt is way out of her league. And besides, look how he treated his human paper girlfriend!
The Receptionist’s trademark cut paper world is well-suited for a land of personified vegetables and carbohydrates; ultimately a lethal pasta whip should be screened for at airport security checkpoints everywhere (copycats beware!). Watch with a can of Hunt’s tomato sauce nearby (in case you get hungry).
From YouTube.com user: Brookers Still at it!! This is from last Christmas, but no matter. Brookers is getting more and more experienced with her editing. As always, watching her video is a treat.
Lucy’s blog asking for submissions that she can act out is a great idea. I just wish she had followed through with it. I don’t know if she never got any scripts or that just never shot them, but it would have been fun to see her act and to see what people on YouTube had written about it. This was right about the time her legitimacy came into question though and I think she got too bogged-down by that (check out the production light behind her, on the right).
Imagine being cloned a number of different times. Then imagine that all of your copies live in the same city and are, somehow, all the same age as you. Then imagine trying to avoid running into them every day when they’re either lurking in parking lots and begging for money, or just around the corner looking for an autograph. Now imagine the editing and thought it took to make this all happen on film, and you’ll have a good appreciation for this clever little video by behnfannin productions.
