I know, I know, who wants to watch a lecture on the internet? It’s OKay, you don’t have to, but if you have 10 minutes to spare then I promise this one is worth your time.

The video seems like it was recorded at a talk Professor Barry Schwartz was giving in conjunction with his new book “The Paradox of Choice: Why More is Less”.

Some of you may be familiar with the philosophical idea of Americans having freedom from everything and thus having freedom to nothing. This is basically what Schwartz’s lecture is all about (although he never says that).

This isn’t just a rehashing of European thinking however, Schwartz is a psychologist so he uses this concept to explain the widespread depression in affluent societies.

So if you made it this far and if you watched the video, what do you think? Do we have too many choices? Are we paralyzed and disappointed? Or do we have greater personal responsibility which we are not properly taught to exercise? Any insights and comments would be appreciated.

My sister told me about this one a couple months ago and I finally remembered to look it up on YouTube. Both of our warped senses of humor are in agreement that this little girl is the cutest thing we’ve ever seen on television, and most especially when she does things like this.

This clip is from the now defunct HBO show “Lucky Louie” and shows his young daughter putting on another one of her dog and pony shows for her parent’s undivided attention. This time, it’s an adorable ballet act she calls "Poppy the Pussycat," and it contains some special music. I was never a big fan of the show while it was on, but seeing this clip makes me want to go back in my cable provider’s OnDemand archives and see what else I’ve missed in this off-beat sitcom.

So, “Are you ready for the show?!”

A simple but heartbreaking reminder.
This video is a cry for help, simply said. In our world, there are people that need our help. Their are children starving, and we sit in our homes with filled refrigerators. This video shows the plight of the people in Africa using images played under the song, Angels. Not sure which version this is, but I know it isn't Jessica Simpson. The video is quite simple, but nonetheless powerful! Sometimes we just need a reminder to be thankful of what we have and to help those that don't have it. Just watch.

Do you know how many touchdowns O.J. Simpson ran at USC? A LOT!
The last week or two the fact that Simpson had planned to go on television and tell the world just how he would have killed his wife made news. It was all over. Yet, we know he says he still didn't do it. This would be how he would if he had. The interview never made it on air because it was cancelled days before.

Well, not sure how they did it but the Ska Brothers have the interview. Only not really. These two are comedic geniuses. This is there latest video. Here we have the interview we might have seen if it had aired on television. These two are simple with their video work, but the focus is always on the comedy. That is never lacking with these two. Check their latest out!

Swingers meets Sling Blade!
This parody trailer from ButterTV pokes fun at two very popular movies from the 1990s by combining the two in a quick trailer. Written by Chris Cox, Matt Sloan and Darren Des Voigne, we have some great fun here. For those of you that are a fan of Blame Society Films, you might recognize Matt Sloan from there. This trailer is just plain funny with some good dialogue and acting by the characters. Definitely worth watching. Check it out!

His hands are bananas ... literally!
I wasn't completely sure what I'd find when I watched this video. The title is a bit strange, and I never thought it would be so literal. What we have here is a music video from Nandrews in which his hands really are bananas. It is shot entirely in black and white, and the opening sequence is quite good here. It definitely pulled me in to watch more of the video. The song is hilarious. There are a few strange moments, but overall this video is fun to watch. Some great quick comedy. Check it out!

Making a movie one drawing at a time.
Meet Zack! In this video, he is going through the process of making a flipbook animated movie. Something you think would be easy, but as you can tell if you take a moment to watch this short film it is far from easy. I don't have any drawing talent myself, so the fact Zack even attempted this task is praise worthy.

The video itself follows him in his process from the very beginning. We see every nail biting and stressful moment that goes into completing the drawing needed. These moments make this video funny, but the finished product amazing. Take a look at the video for yourself.

Wow look at this sexy party!
I am a huge fan of Family Guy and Stewie, but this video is entirely new to me. The lyrics had me laughing right out loud, and I just knew I had to share it with you. I'm not sure where this video is from because I don't remember seeing it on television. It has a bit of a Bartman feel to it, but Stewie is his own man ... baby? Take a look!

And a woman is heard!
This is yet another compelling clip from BeHeard. This time we hear about life from a woman, Jaclyn Ngah, as she talks about girls and their cattiness. As a woman, I can definitely relate to what she is talking about. Women can be the most catty things on the planet. This is the last of the BeHeard clips, but I am sure there will be more to come. I'll let you know when there is because I'll be watching.
