Hey, Jessica. This is a hard one for me. It's a perfectly appropriate, surprisingly gentle poke at evangelical Christendom, dedicated to Ted Haggard and set to the song, "Son of a Preacher Man." She doesn't single Haggard out, though; she includes Jerry Falwell, Jim Bakker, Pat Robertson and others. Oh, how the mighty have fallen, and keep on falling. That's what we evangelicals do--fall over and over and over again. We don't all fall as publicly or with as much humiliation as these guys, but we all fall. We all keep screwing up, and everything they say about us is true. Thank God for Grace. And thank Jessica for being gentle, and for the humor that helps us see ourselves as we really are.
