This clip by behnfannin is cleverly described as “a mockumentary about a group of documentary filmmakers trying to make a documentary about themselves trying to make the documentary they are trying to make.”
WOW! Could there be anything more original? ... And, with that said, could I be any more sarcastic?
After watching this one, there were only two possible ways this could have been funny to me:
1.) Lots of Weed, and
2.) If it was completely done over the top.
Instead I’m completely sober, the actors played it pretty straight, the writing could have been better (much like this review) and the clip is thus left lacking in the comedy department. It does have its moments.
And the idea is a good one, don’t get me wrong -- quite original in its description, but I’m not going to pretend that I -- or many of you -- haven’t had this exact same idea in our heads for about three years now, but have simply been too lazy to do anything about it. At least they did it.
